Our First Panel July 24th
Launching Strategic Collaborations on Social Media
I'm thrilled to share more details on our first Social4TheWin panel event. After six months of events, I know this will be our best one yet.
This event is all about collaborations. "Collaboration bridges the gaps that silos create" is the guiding principle behind our conversations. We're diving deep into how creators collaborate, how brands collaborate with creators, and how brands collaborate to find success.
OUR PANELISTS:
Cameron, Global Creative Development Lead at TikTok, can share how brands are developing their creative strategy with creators in mind and how brands are looking at a longer-term approach to creative on social.
Andreas, @MrNYCSubway with 2.5 million followers, has collaborated with 10s of brands, creators big and small, and artists like Ed Sheeran, James Blunt, and Matchbox20, who leverages partnerships with brands, other creators, and even strangers on the street to fuel his growth.
Arden, Lead Social Media & Influencer Manager at Fanatics, works with numerous creators and events in the sports space and can share insights on how Fanatics builds branded collaborations and how creators are entering the sports world.
Jesse, creator strategy and podcast producer who has launched podcasts with Rolling Stone and The Daily Beast, will share how he builds partnerships to drive additional interest in the podcast space and how musicians look at collaborating with creators to drive mutual growth.
BRAINSTORMING SESSION:
We’ll host a short panel and then a live brainstorming session where our group will dive into a few examples of potential creator and brand collaborations that we think might work well on social media.
After the panel, we'll engage in the same brainstorming activity where attendees will collaborate in smaller groups. You’re not just at this event to listen, you’re coming to participate. This activity aims to inspire unique conversations and help take you outside of the strategic silo you find yourself in, whether that be as a creator, brand, agency or any specific industry niche.
So what else will be going on at the event?

THOUGHTS FROM JACOB
If you’ve read through some of these, you may have realized how transparent and vulnerable I am in my posts. Most of the time this vulnerability shines through during my thoughts when I share my creator interviews. That’s just who I am. So I’ll share this with you as well.
I’m always extremely nervous before the events. There’s a lot of doubt. Will people show up? Do they even care that I’m doing this? Will I embarrass myself? So just know that if you do show up and continue to show up it means a lot to me as someone putting themselves out there trying to do something in this space.
During these six months, while not even living in the city, I’ve met more people than in the first 8 years (minus COVID) of my post-college life in NYC. I’ve probably gone into the city at least once a week every week for 6 months for some sort of event. So I can tell you firsthand, that attending events has been worthwhile. I’ve gone out to countless lunches and coffees, it’s not networking, it’s building friendships and relationships.
Ultimately my goals are to deepen these relationships, build new ones, and along the way hopefully get deals done! I’d also like for people who attend to leave these events with valuable insights and connections.
I’m a man with a lot of ideas (sometimes too many) and I want to host one-of-a-kind events for our industry. I’m having conversations with some unique partners about what we can do in the future to highlight creators and marketers in this community. And if you know people who might want to join, I encourage you to share this. I hope that you only benefit from joining our events and being an active member of this community.
Cheers to incredible endeavors, new friendships, and what I’m hoping will be an unbelievable event!
“Collaboration is the key to growth. Silos trap us in our own thought processes, but by thinking from different perspectives and engaging with those who see the world differently, we discover incredible ways to connect dots that might otherwise remain unconnected."
